I painted this after a winter visit to La Jolla, San Diego. The wooden building just seemed to float in a green garden area next to the sea. The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame with ring plates and cord, ready for hanging.

With a background in photography, I have for the last decade shifted my focus to working primarily on canvas. My style is often naive, bordering on pop art. I hope to give the viewer the chance to be absorbed into the warm vibrant subject matter, to lift spirits and focus on plants and nature. Some of my paintings mix acrylic paint and collage, where homoerotic images occur as male bodies and underwear to mix scenes of real places and situations. I live in the region of Murcia, Spain. The very dry climate suits almonds, olives and huge agave plants. My studio and gallery are situated in the rolling countryside. I currently have some 100 paintings on display in my gallery, which can be visited by appointment. The plants, fields, mountains and hot summer climate inspires ny work. I also travel frequently to Asia, Southern California and around Spain, where I gain inspiration from the gardens, architecture and gay lifestyle. I love to spend time in Palm Springs, photographing the Modernist architecture, the cactus gardens and the Joshua Tree National Park. In Ibiza the salt lakes and local culture and hedonism inspire my pool, lake and seascapes.
