David Gütter is a European painter, a founder of memorist painting, a philosophy of expressing the specific way in which the human brain recall memories, especially applied in plain air landscape drawing and painting and also portrait in combination with landscape. The term Memorism is derived from the word memory. It leads him to adopt a method that reflects the way human brain cells work. Altough a memory can be very sharp and specific, the details vanish in abstract noise. The paintings and drawings seem very specific in detail from distance but the closer you go, the more they vanish in completely abstract noise.
