A fine art painter, living and working in the UK. Born in Nottingham in 1972. Tanya comes from an artistic background, her mother was a painter and textile designer and her father a violinist. A former student of the London Slade School, in 1993 Tanya held her first solo show in Repton. Followed by shows at The Raw Art Gallery in London in 1994, The Byard Gallery, Nottingham in 1995 and a series of private shows and private commissions. In 2011 and 2015, Tanya was the Artist in Residence at The Festival International de Musique de Chambre en Charente, France and in 2012, a prize winner at the Castle Open Exhibition in Nottingham. She is an inveterate traveller and over the last decade her painting has begun to reflect her experiences around the Eastern Mediterranean, particularly Cyprus, Istanbul and Eastern Turkey. Tanya has recently embarked on a new series of coastal paintings inspired by her travels to Cornwall and the Mediterrainean.
