About The Artwork

This oil painting was made in an international painting competition in Le Grau du Roi in Southern France and won the first prize. A few glazes were then added in the artist's studio. It shows restaurants on the right bank and small traditional fishing boats moored in front of them. It conveys the peaceful and yet animated life of this harbor which is also a well known holiday resort. Special attention was paid to the contrast between light and shade and to the reflections in water. This oil painting is ready to hang. It has a small discret wooden frame nailed to the canvas. On request it is also available without this frame with the sides painted black for presentation. Dimensions without the frame: 61x38 cm
