BIO -DANIEL AARON SCHWARTZ I have been painting and working in mixed media for more than 50 years, since I started gluing together flotsam and jetsam I found on the beach when I was four years old. This unconscious and layered approach has always been a vital element of everything I create. I often will paint a dream I had or be inspired to focus on an emotion or a single word. Everyday objects like buttons, twigs, jar tops and hairpins are used as textural elements in my work as are found street signs, personal items like watches, baby shoes and doodles.
