My name is Diana Rode and I'm an artist from Ukraine. I've been painting all my life, in one way or another... I graduated from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University as an IT-specialist and used to work in game development as a Technical/VFX Artist for 5 years. At the same time, I was taking various professional art courses, so eventually my passionate creativity led me to become a full-time Visual Artist. In my free time I like riding horses, traveling and playing video games. In my artistic practice I focus on the uniqueness of humanity's existence, its interaction with ecosystems, and the role of untouched nature in the life of modern human beings. I invite the viewer to think about actions that affect the world around us. In this way, I open the discussion of revaluating existing systems of interaction and call for changes that will preserve the harmony between humans and nature. Through nuances in colors and textures, I try to convey the beauty of an imperfect world, aiming to evoke empathy for our planet and compassion for each other. I like to experiment with mediums, but the main ones are water-based paints.
