VIEW IN MY ROOM
The Metaverse is a virtual world where anything is possible, and imagination has no limits. In this world, artist Xu Bin has created a thought-provoking scene where a robot is out at sea fishing. The painting depicts the robot standing in a skiff with two freshly caught fish in her hands. The fish are frozen in ice, which is shaped like keyboard buttons. The robot's brain is drawn as a book containing a vast amount of information on both human and robot civilizations. The female image of the robot in the painting is designed with an affinity that elicits a sense of familiarity and human-like qualities. Through the painting's content, it is evident that the robot is already an intelligent being capable of complex tasks such as fishing. She was very good at the job and caught a lot of fish. This raises the question of whether the rapid development of science and technology could disrupt the balance of nature. As robots become more advanced and capable of replacing humans in labor, it is essential to ask what the meaning of human existence is. Xu Bin answers this question in the painting by portraying two humans who are learning and exploring inside the robot's brain. This symbolizes that with the help of artificial intelligence, humans can acquire knowledge faster and climb the peak of civilization. The ice cubes shaped like keyboard buttons are not just for aesthetic purposes. They represent the independence of robots in terms of aesthetics, feelings, and decision-making, which are similar to those of humans. The line between humans and robots is becoming blurred, and they are becoming an indispensable part of our lives. Xu Bin and the painting delve into the complex relationship between humans, robots, and nature. The scene takes place in the Metaverse, a virtual world that is as magical as it is plausible. The painting's superb skills bring the scene to life and invite the viewer to imagine a future where such a scenario could happen.

China
I was born in 1969 in Guang'an, Sichuan, China. I graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Normal University and became a freelance artist afterwards. My early works were mainly oil paintings, influenced by Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists such as Monet and Seurat. Through continuous learning and creative practice, I gradually integrated the artistic essence of Matisse, Picasso, Dali, Chagall and other artists, and combined with my own Chinese cultural background to develop my own mature artistic style.
