Born in 1967 in Belo Horizonte/MG, where he lives and works, he graduated in visual communication from the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG). He has been working in art since 1994, when he began his artistic career, researching the most varied possibilities of drawing, painting and sculpture. With a classical background, Ricardo's work transcends the pictorial space, transforming his painting into sculpture and has brought the public a new perspective on the act of painting. The brushstrokes are the theme itself and are transformed into elements that compose minimalist sculptural pieces with other materials such as stainless steel, brass and acrylic resin, and which appear to be free in space. The idea is to free up gestures, fill the space and make visible what painting is all about.
