Yasa is a Canadian artist based in Malta. She studied oil painting in the South Studio Atelier in Malta, which follows the great traditions of the Florence Academy of Art. Yasa learned sumi-e/ink wash painting and calligraphy in China, Canada, and Japan. She is using a variety of Chinese, Japanese, and sometimes Korean paper, sumi inks and Asian style watercolour.
