The artwork “Mulher Muchimba” is the second work of the collection “Força das Mulheres de Povos” which is inspired by the African People Muchimba/Himba, semi-nomads who live between Namibia and Angola. The Himba survive by maintaining their traditional way of life, resisting various threats such as wars, arid places and our modern life. The women of this people use a kind of reddish ocher paste on their bodies and hair, symbolizing the color of red earth and blood, which represents life. The women never take a bath, doing hygiene and perfuming through smoke. These people deeply cultivate their ancestry, which led the artist to believe that we have the purest rescue when we come into contact with this tradition, especially our potential.

I was born in 1986 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With an initial degree in electrical engineering and an innate look and feel for the arts, I have been exploring and delivering my own works based on my perceptions of the outer and inner world. My mission is to provide a connection with the more hidden feelings through the arts. Therefore, I explore themes such as spirituality, ancestry, self-respect, self-love, self-care, self-esteem, personal power, as well as the representation of women. I have Angola as one of the lines of research in its various dimensions, as I see it as a rescue and connection with my ancestry. Be welcome!!!
