Nana-Buluku Nana-Buluku is a creator god. Sometimes Nana-Buluku was described as being a female, grandmother figure, and in others as a genderless creator god. Nana-Buluku realized that all of creation could not be supported and might tip over. To prevent this, her pet serpent, Da, curled up under the Earth by biting its own tail to form a cushion to keep the Earth in place. Nana-Buluku created the ocean to keep Da cool, and tasked monkeys to keep it fed with iron bars. Eventually, that iron will run out and Da will become so hungry, it will eat itself until there is nothing left and the Earth will tip over.

My name is Marta, I am an enthusiastic and creative Artist from Madrid, immigrated to USA 10 years ago. I am Bachelor in Fine Arts at Facultad de Bellas Artes, specialized in Graphic Design and Fine Art, by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. I worked In Spain 15 years as a Fine Artist specialized on Portraits, and as an Art Director in Prestigious Publishing Companies. Performed solo and collective art shows since I was in 2nd year of Fine ART College. Had my own studio in Downtown Madrid with other artists since ever them, until I came to USA. Since 2006 I have been interested in the Human Anatomy. I have been commissioned Oil portraits since then. My process of work is: Interviewing, taking to my customer as many shoots as I needed with my camera, building their facial anatomy though their emotions. Marta Carvajal not only captures the essence and spirit of the individuals she paints with a beautiful eye for anthropological portraits, but her work also depicts her relentless passion for creating art every day. Marta’s compelling work includes a wide range of subject matters; from tribal women and children, wildlife, and iconic figures from Motown, among many others. In addition, Marta continues to create custom portraits for individuals and families, a craft she has mastered for over 30 years. Paula Martin Carvajal Daughter
