About The Artwork
In Ukraine, the oak is a sacred, ritual tree. It was from the oak that made the ancient idols. This tree permeates our culture, our legends break through thousands of years with its mighty branches. In my country, singing songs, thousands of tales and ancient legends singing about oaks. My inspiration is the mythology of our people and its traditions, so I drew the oak as a symbol of the ancient times that sprouted their "branches" at the present time and will continue to live in the future. Oak is a time machine. People change on the ground, but the oaks themselves remain for millenniums. This painting is made in multi-layered classical technique with oil paints on linen canvas. The sides have a drawing. The picture will harmoniously fit into your interior even without a frame.
