Oyinade is a typical Yoruba name of Western Nigeria given to a female child at birth especially one from a royal heritage or background. Oyin means honey while ade is associated with crown, so any who bears such a name is expected to be embellished with paraphernalia’s significantly highlighting her royalty. So goes the saying that simplicity could be the ultimate sophistication, instead of the appurtenances of cowries and sapphires and gold, Oyinade is portrayed in a simple traditional blue regalia with much hidden in her eyes.

His primary medium is acrylic with juxtaposition of oil pastel and charcoal to strike textural harmonies. “My art is incomplete without the use of oil pastel and charcoal, that gives nostalgic bring-back of my childhood where I used burnt wood and crayons for my drawings. Gbemileke currently lives and works in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria.
