I'm a french figurative painter, i was born in 1974 in Orléans, France. I live and work in France, currently represented by Gilbert Dufois gallery in Senlis, near Paris. I paint the human and its environment, i interpret in painting moments of life using photography and video. My pictorial writing at the same time figurative and abstractive, shapes beings and elements by questioning the relationship between the subject and space. I first approached the subject with the distance, seeking to capture using shapes in raw representations of every day scenes. At that moment i find my inspiration in the realism of Courbet, Daumier, Bellows. The question of « mimetic innovation » subsequently dominates, which leads me to explore other possibilities of « breaking » with optical truth, to go beyond appearances.
