Filip Rey was born in Warsaw to a family of painters. Filip's father was a painter of landscape and architecture. The sister specializes in portrait. The first paintings were made when he turned 16. Studying philosophies at the University of Cologne, he remained only in painting. He is not an academic painter but in no way is it a cause of any complexes. He sells his works in a very narrow circle of friends, recommended from mouth to mouth. It is difficult to look for his paintings in galleries or exhibitions. After bringing up at the home of academic painters, he developed a relation to the function of painting and the role of the creator. He reduces the creative process to a diligently performed work, considering that it is a waste of time for unnecessary marketing. Painting combines with film and television productions. He is the director of many award-winning documentaries and theater performances. He is also an IT specialist by education, which enables him to create works using digital technology. He runs painting workshops for children and youth. He lives in Berlin and Warsaw.
