flemish painter and sculptor, currently living in Ostend on the Belgian westcoast with my lovely wife and daughter. I work predominantely with oilpaints, because of the rich texture and the fact that it allows one to really lay the colours almost on top of one another without smudging or blurring. Most of the paintings are very multilayered to create a maximum depth and movement.I apply my paint both by brush and palletknife, which also deepens the effect. Furthermore I do a fair amount of drawing using crayon, graphite, ink and watercolours, with themes varying from nudes to quite surreal dreamscapes. every so often i take the chance to do some steel sculpting and also create one of a kind pieces of furniture.
