"Paesaggio, il molo novo" Fine Art Print

I am a illustrator and figurative painter, born in Livorno and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. I started drawing at a very early age and immediately developed a graphic sign in which I recognise myself to this day. In my current work, I try to maintain the same unconscious poetry of those childhood drawings and the same lightness with which the subjects were represented. My painting features the stroke, the rapid, summarising stroke of the sketch and the synthesis, the expressive immediacy of the vignette, while retaining academic subjects and a classical technique, portraits and landscapes in oil on canvas. The themes proposed in my works are the pretext to reach an emotion rather than a reflection, their intent is to bring the observer into a naïf world, where the subject or the main story remains suspended without problems in an imaginary place, of transition between wakefulness and sleep, like the images of fairy tales, mysterious but reassuring, simple but curious, which are indelibly imprinted in the viewer's mind.
