"I am concurrently in the state of peace and in the state of secret war with the whole world and with myself" About Zaychenko Georgiy As a rule, his artistic manner is compared to impressionism. This idea comes to one's mind given his attention to nature, properties of color and light, vivid strokes. But beside impressionists this artist has considerable respect for Van Gogh, early Matisse, Camille Pissarro, Vrubel, Korovin, Nesterov... But is it rightful to draw conclusions about an artist's style and formation stemming from his own preferences? Because creativity is primarily life of a soul and, as Neoplatonists believed, "a rage of spirit leading one to the Divine". There were many roads leading to the Divine. Many are acquainted with his "mature" style, city and sea sceneries, His water-colors have become known to a "wider audience" quite recently. But, unfortunately, only a limited number of people are acquainted with his 1960s works. An average expert on his creative activity would be very surprised to find out that "this is Zaychenko too". It is habitual that he, a landscape painter, has still lives among his works of the years 2000 period. Georgiy is a recognized Master, but journalists write about him more often than art critics do. More so, practically no one really knows this person. He is closed up in his own world, and even time goes for him unlike for others. A psychologist would put it in a more concise manner: "A pronounced introvert". Georgiy speaks and communicates in a way different from the way he thinks. After work, only letters can give an adequate presentation of his personality. Even friends of Georgiy do not know him well enough...
