Yana Dmitrieva is a contemporary artist based in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. Since relocating to Montenegro, her experience of forced migration becomes a research of inner transformations expressed through her art. She uses bright and vivid colors and surrealist forms, combined with abstraction, as her artistic language. She works with several mediums, including watercolour, oil on canvas. She received a formal education in visual arts New Altai State School of Art and the Altai State Institute of Culture. Her works were exhibited in CICA Museum, in Gimpo City Museum Gallery, in Herceg Novi, and Spira 9 in London.
