About The Artwork

In the mind the memories and hopes of a life with a door to open. I like playing with overlays, creating space-time paradoxes, representing things and characters in a very realistic way, but creating an absolutely unreal and psychological context. All my paintings are made oil on canvas, purely oil on canvas.

He exhibits in Italy and abroad. All of his artworks are realized in oil on canvas, using the ancient technique of oil glazing. In Rome, on 13 February 2024, in Via V. Veneto 7, at the cultural headquarters of the Argentine Embassy in Italy, his latest personal exhibition was inaugurated, which remained open until 4 April 2024. ---------------------------------------------- Davide Querin was born in Rome and, son of art, he immediately devoted himself to painting and the arts. His artistic training is eclectic and developed in the field of oil painting, editorial illustration. In 1986 he graduated in editorial graphics and advertising at the ISIA Urbino, specializing in illustration. He later attended the Atelier of the painter Luigi Quintili, perfecting himself in the oil painting technique. For many years Davide Querin has also been an editorial illustrator in parallel with his painter activity. He has exhibited his works in France, Italy and the United States, trying to capture the complex relationship between the conscious and the unconscious, composing scenes inhabited by transparent figures representing the overlap of space and time. His paintings invite contemplation and imagination, and allow each viewer to find stories in every room, face and time. Davide Querin has made his artworks available on the set of various TV films, including "Primo cittadino" with Tullio Solenghi and "L'una e l'altra" with Christopher Lambert. His paintings are been purchased by collectors in Italy, France, the United States, Finland, Germany, Israel, Brazil, Argentina, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland. In October 2009, with a solo exhibition inaugurated in Rome, in Via Veneto, at the Casa Argentina under the patronage of the Argentine Embassy in Italy, he started an interactive relationship with Argentine and Latin American culture. In May 2015 Davide Querin inaugurated in Rome, at the "Chiostro del Bramante", his solo exhibition "Alchemical Transparencies". Since 2019 most of his artworks are painted on a theme, on commission. In Rome, on 13 February 2024, in Via V. Veneto 7, at the cultural headquarters of the Argentine Embassy in Italy, his latest personal exhibition was inaugurated, which remained open until 4 April 2024.
