Alexey Linkov is Ukrainian-born Canadian artist. His Neoclassical style is influenced mostly by the Impressionist and Orientalist movements as well as Psychedelic, Fantasy and Pop art. Alexey combines these styles in his art, creating colorful and surreal scenes of nature, animals, and humans. He often depicts tropical and beach scenes, as well as mythological and historical subjects. He shows a fascination with the beauty and diversity of nature, as well as the mystery and allure of legends and stories. He has a distinctive and colorful style, and shows great technical skills and creativity in his paintings. He also adds his own personal touch and interpretation, to create a unique and original style. Fun Facts about Alexey: - He was denied entry to the Fine Art Academy in the USSR several times because his art was not in line with the Communist Ideology. He had to study art on his own and hide his paintings from the authorities. - He appeared in some movies and TV shows as a minor character, even though he was not a professional actor. His most notable role was Adolf Hitler (uncredited) in a Canadian TV show. - He recently discovered that he was related to Vincent van Gogh through a DNA test. He was surprised and amused by this revelation.
