Larisa Leontyeva, working under the creative pseudonym LorisDo, creates works in which the principles of clothing design are intertwined with a deep philosophical search. Trained in costume modeling, she transferred her form and structure skills to the visual arts. Her career began with silk painting, gradually evolving into the multifaceted practice of oil and acrylic painting, as well as complex graphics with colored pencils. An important impetus for the development of her talent was the influence of the outstanding Latvian sculptor Igor Vasiliev, which helped to form a serious attitude towards the artistic image. In her work, the artist explores the absence of visible boundaries between reality and surreal consciousness. Plots are often born out of dreams, meditative states and subtle details of the surrounding space. The geography of Leontyeva's work covers the shores of the Baltic Bay in her native Riga and the atmospheric landscapes of Italy, where she spends a significant part of her time. These contrasting environments are reflected in both calm landscapes and metaphysical compositions filled with symbols and personal experiences. Larisa's technical arsenal includes the use of acrylic in the alla prima technique to create dynamic abstractions, as well as the author's method of working with pencil on cardboard and paper, which allows you to achieve the effect of lightness and transparency. Experience in the fashion industry helps her build complex multi-figure compositions, where abstract ideas take on a clear visual form. LorisDo's creativity is a continuous stream that combines elements of realism and expressionism, inviting the viewer to a dialogue about harmony, peace and self-knowledge.
