For as long as I can remember I’ve created art. I’m inspired by the vistas and views of Northern California. From my frequent travels to Mt. Shasta, visits to the beaches of Marin or even my backyard, I find images of our state that I want to share with those who live here, and the world. I’m a self-taught artist who learns through observation. My classroom consists of books, museums, galleries and YouTube. I’m a student of the world. My process is a dance between my brush, palette knife, fingers and sponges. My preferred medium is acrylic, modified with spray bottles of water, resin, gels (thick and thin), glue and random objects I find interesting. As an emerging artist, I enjoy experimenting. Through trial and error, I find my way along my exciting artistic journey. Eventually, I fall in love with my non-traditional results – and then, we have a painting.
