Giusy Lauriola is a contemporary artist based in Rome. Her work explores the threshold between reality and imagination, creating layered, semi-abstract compositions through the use of resin, acrylic, and enamel. Light, color, and transparency play a central role, turning her surfaces into meditative spaces that evoke silence, memory, and emotion. Themes of femininity, human connection, and nature run throughout her visual language. Resin, her signature material, is more than a medium-it's a luminous, tactile presence that enhances the sensory and sculptural quality of her works. Lauriola's expressive approach balances structure and spontaneity, blending controlled gesture with instinctive impulse. Over time, she has moved from digital and photo-based media back to painting, developing a distinct aesthetic rooted in poetic sensitivity and material experimentation.
