Ana Carucci is a Spain based artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With a wide background as a professional illustrator, after several years of figurative drawing her interest in abstraction came hand in hand with a need for personal expression and a desire to experiment with colour and materials. Mostly working on paper and plastic her practice arises from playing within the threshold between planning and improvisating. With nature as a main source of inspiration, the topics of her pieces circle around perception, presence, the language of dreams and the way we intimately relate to the spaces we inhabit. In 2017 one of her painting books was selected for a national prize, the Visual Arts Funds from Argentina. Along her career Ana has participated on two solo shows in Buenos Aires and several group exhibitions in Argentina, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. Her graphic works have been published in various newspapers, magazines and books in Argentina, Brazil and Italy. In 2022 she has participated of the AADK Spain residency program and was selected for the summer art camp annual gathering Countdown Grabowsee in Berlin, Germany.
