I am Leonardo Miranda, a plastic artist born in Buenos Aires in 1977. I was raised in a theatrical and artistic environment, in which I cultivated a taste for decorative styles, classical architecture and scenographic aesthetics. During my adolescence, I became passionate about mathematics, and discovered the pleasure of connecting seemingly dissociated ideas and constructing universes of abstract thought. That's how I decided to explore my more abstract side and formally study mathematics at the University of Buenos Aires. However, I would soon discover contemporary art and philosophy, which would fuel a hunger for exploration and, over time, I began to experiment with painting and create my own work. I try to give a touch of intrigue and enigma to what I do, but I also have works that are simply beautiful or curious. I like to think that my art is like a visual puzzle, that stops time in my gaze. My path as an artist has been a bit chaotic, but that's life. I get carried away by the emotion of the moment and am always looking for new ways to express myself. My art is like me, direct and raw, but with a touch of beauty and mystery.
