About The Artwork
The central theme of the third picture "Reflection of reality" is Islam whose symbol is the half moon. The ninth month of the Islamic calendar begins by long 30-days fast - Uraza, according to which a faithful Muslim must refrain from eating and drinking from down till dusk. The main feature of this tradition is not limitation of food, but time of eating. That’s why the main color of this painting – deep blue, which symbolizes water and night at the same time. Lotus and three turtles here are also represents waters. Gold, copper and terracotta – colors of autumn and falling leaves. The Arabs, belonged to the Eastern race, were the first people who professed Islam. The gesture of the woman on the picture can be interpreted as a gesture of the conferring, allowing others to touch the source of wisdom, i.e. to the source of life.
