I think that sharks are extremely misunderstood. They’re truly sweet sea creatures that are continuously being treated poorly. The media has portrayed them as dangerous for decades and no one cares enough to look at the actual facts. Sharks kill about 6 humans a year (mostly surfers mistaken for seals and sea lions) while humans kill around 100 million sharks. Sharks are incredibly important for the overall health of the ocean so that’s a devastating amount. I just hope this painting makes people care enough to help keep our oceans full of sharks because we need them and they need to live
