Thrilled this painting was sold to a collector in Massachusetts! If you are interested, I can create something similar for you–contact Saatchi Art. This gallery wrapped diptych (two pieces hung together as one piece) is a weathered collage, covered with vintage newspapers from the 1960s, damaged books and magazine clips. The piece is created on beefy 2.25" deep stretched canvas bars. Each canvas is signed and dated on the back. Multiple coats of matte varnish protect and seal the piece. Art is gallery wrapped, so no need for framing. Each panel has two D-rings on the back with heavy duty plastic-coated wire–ready to hang and start a conversation in any space. With both pieces hung together as shown, it measures 48" tall x 60" wide. Each panel measures 48" tall x 30" wide, and can also be displayed separately.

The work I create is about contemplation—pausing for a moment to appreciate the history in our lives. I ask the viewer to step off life’s speedy treadmill and analyze these imaginary timelines I make with vintage paper and paint. Using reclaimed paper, manuals, magazines and textbooks I create layered artwork that demands more than the casual glance. My art is about juggling time, color and balance. I always strive to create art that is bold, physical and has an overall element of fun. The editing process is about layering–adding and covering back up. My current work is rugged and blends areas of control with those of absolute chaos, wielding paint, markers, spray paint and using whatever tools I can find to make a mark.
