Sometimes when we dream, we can see things from another angle. In this case, I imagine a young woman looking at the Caribbean Sea from above. She happily flies among the clouds while the reflection of the stars mixes with her figure. In this way, the landscape and the figure become something beyond a mere complement. Sometimes I turn to my childhood memories to address the existential questions I want to express. I've recently explored the concepts of time, energy, light, and space through my paintings and drawings. This has led me to work with hybrid subjects and media that can converge figuration with traits of abstraction and surrealism. I use symbolism and distortions to bridge the figures and their environment, creating scenes where surrounding energies and time metaphors serve as the glue of an idea.
