"Everyone has the right to a life of beauty!" I am Oleh Savka, an artist, designer, and architect from Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2002, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Design from the National Forestry University of Ukraine. During my studies, I gained academic knowledge in painting, drawing, and sculpture. In my artwork I capture fleeting interplay of light and shadow and use vivid color palettes to create a unique atmosphere and provide a feast for the viewers’ eyes. Color, texture, and unusual compositional angles are the main elements in each of my paintings. They seem to be filled with air – they scintillate and vibrate with all the colors of life. To quote the Impressionists, "What matters is not what is depicted, but how it’s depicted." My works do not aim to reproduce reality, like photographs do; instead, they reflect my impression of it, which, in turn, sparks the imagination of the viewer. Despite the free interpretation of classical canons, the paintings are carefully crafted and filled with intricate details. My goal is to reveal the beauty that surrounds us in a fresh, exciting way and bring joy to people.
