The remover of obstacles is presented to the audience. A Hindu deity, he has the head of an elephant and the body of a human. He symbolizes wisdom and understanding. He is seen playing the flute, his body is colored in blue. Lotus blooms are seen in the background. A lovely piece of art. 30679-CU-U...

I am a past pupil of Daranagama National College and Ananda College, Colombo. After completing my schooling, I indulged in my passion for art and became a student of the late art maestro, Kalasuri Jayasiri Semage. In 2005, I participated in the "Jaya Sisura" art exhibition. Later, I held two solo exhibitions: Arunalu in 2006 and Nekru in 2011. I am a member of the Ceylon Society of Art and have participated in many group exhibitions. Just as my paintings influence my profession, my profession also influences my paintings. This is especially evident in certain works where the details of jewelry are delicately painted with precise strokes. My preference is to portray the human figure on canvas in different styles and actions. I have a deep appreciation for the female form, as I believe it carries a unique rhythm. My paintings also reflect my affinity for sober earth tones. Many of my works are now part of private collections owned by art lovers both locally and internationally.
