About The Artwork
This was inspired by an autumn sunset over my local beach at Poole on the south coast of England. I liked the way that the dramatic cloud formation contrasted with the dead calm of the sea, so that the colours of the sky were reflected in the mirror like water. I also liked the way that the cliffs were silhouetted against the sky. This work is on unstretched canvas.
