About The Artwork
The general feel of "The Apiary" is to feel light and contented. I was inspired by beekeepers and the idea of balancing nature with human innovation. It is a soft abstracted peice with a tranquil figure in the righthand side. The paper collage i used was from a science textbook of mircoscopic bacterial cels and i placed it out of contect to represent swarming bees. in the pink i did a reverse cast of a plastic horse figurine you can see is a nod to innocence.
