Watercolour on heavy Bockingford Paper. Stunned by the colours of some cockerels and being the symbol of France I felt compelled to paint one. This was one of our little cockerels. We loved him. He deserved a little real gold as he was special.

Seraphina, originally from England has lived and worked in France for 20 years. She has taught art and art history in France. 'I try to create a 'moment' in time. With both abstracts and wild animals. That instant only a photograph can capture but to put it on canvas or paper and instill depth and emotion and atmosphere.' Seraphina Moody. Now she lives in France with her family and animals and travels the world photographing and painting. Her primary interests are flora and fauna and abstract landscapes. She runs painting and creative workshops based in Italy during the summer with a small 'Ecole de Beaux Arts' summer school, but many others all over Europe and the rest of the world at different times of the year. Seraphina uses mixed media for her abstract landscapes - plaster, glass, gold, sand and watercolour for abstracts on canvas and watercolour for more traditional subjects. She also does portraits in oils of people and in watercolour for pets on commission. Seraphina has works in private collections all over the world including South Africa, Italy, India, France, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark and the USA. She regularly exhibits in France where she has a permanent collection.
