The Light (New York City 566) Print

Gouache and oil colors on canvas from 2019 inspired by the light behind curtains. It could be a scene in New York City, a forest where the light is shining trough the trees and also...this is the preferred perception of mine, the perspective behind the stage before the curtains are going to be drawn. This painting needs a lot of light especially because of the radiance of the Musinni red color and for the details in the black and white structures, that dominates the painting. Even though is it deeply moved, the scene emanates calmness and silence. There is an inner peace regarding the light, surrounded by eventful patterns and structures around it. The observer is asked to perceive the contrast between darkness and light. It can be distracted by details or rest in the inviting opening of the light spot, positioned central in the painting.
