About The Artwork

In simple words, our future will be according to the option taken in the present. The fourth dimension is the protagonist of my work, being the starting point our internal power and not from an external focus. This work reflects the possible duality of interaction between a mother and her offspring, in the time line of their lives. Our mother bathes us in our childhood and after the time the mother is bathed in her old age. Or the possibility of a total absence of this dual interaction, conditioned by the same relationship in the passage of time. Or longings, for losses, for distances, for interpersonal positions that can strengthen or hinder this relationship.

I am a Cuban-Portuguese painter, born in Havana, Cuba, in 1973, living there a large part of my life. I currently live in Carlow, Ireland My art is based in a new cubist vision. Our future can be very different depending on our decision. Our universe can have dissimilar lines of development in an infinite time and space and will be governed by our free will. In simple words, our future will be according to the option taken in the present. I have exhibited in several galleries in my native Cuba, I have made two mural paintings in the Amadeo Roldán Theater and the Canarian Association of Cuba. I have obtained two national prizes in plastic arts and I was awarded at the London Biennale 2021 too. I was also a Jury in The Fine Art Competition “Looking the footprint of Valentin Sanz Carta” at The Canarian Association of Cuba. I have also exhibited my work in Canada, Switzerland, España, United Kingdom and in various galleries in Portugal. My works have been acquired by private collectors in Cuba, the United States, Canada, Mexico and Portugal.
