About Natalia Dzhurliak (LOINA) Nataliia Dzhurliak (a.k.a. LOINA) was born in Lviv, Ukraine, and still resides there. Her decision to become an artist was influenced by the city`s rich history and culture. Her time at the Academy of Arts Faculty of Clothing Design and work in the field of accessory design design influenced her current painting career in various aspects, particularly in the pursuit of transformation and the development of vibrant imagery. Creative approach The aesthetics of LOINA`s visuals and symbols transport the viewer into a world of sophisticated visual atmosphere. She makes extensive use of contemporary art`s capabilities, which allows her to express herself freely to reintegrate and interpret world cultural achievements, folk visual art and the natural environment in new ways. There is a subtle sense of the aesthetics of the female body. The artist frequently uses feminine images, placing them in a whimsical, transcendent environment filled with stylized images of animals, birds, fish, insects andplants. LOINA is known for her use of a variety of artistic techniques, including textures, mosaic gold, and color overlay. All of them act as pondering magnets in their own right. In collage effects compositions the artistic language is expressively demonstrated and identifiable. Her hallmark piece is an organic combination of figurative realism, symbolism, and decorative aesthetics in a rich color interpretation.
