Abstract expressionist artist, Okan Atac was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1962. He started his professional carrier as a graphic designer and painter at some well-known media organs in 1981. Afterwards he continued working as an art director, and editor at some publishing firms. He was in charge of many pre-education and children books’ editing and graphic design. In 1993, he started to become more interested in fine arts, modern art, art materials, photography, and different mixed media techniques. Therefore, he started to research more about these topics. He also became interested in Kitsch Art and Pop Art. After many years of experience as an artist, Atac went further by experimenting with abstracts in various mediums. He moved to Bodrum in 2003. He has been sharing his artworks in his Cactus Art Studio with all foreign and domestic art lovers since then. Art and painting is his passion, biggest part of his life. He uses A wide range of materials such as acrylic, oil paint, soft pastel, and marker. He describes himself as a dreamer, colorist, and symbolist. In addition, his impressive colors, symbols, and his creativity make his paintings unique. Each painting of his tells various of stories. His main inspiration of his paintings are nature, female figures, and colors. His numerous layers on the paintings give different aspects to the audience. He is still researching more about art and cultures and working on new techniques on his paintings. Now he is performing his work and sharing it with art lovers universally.
