Artur Pashkov arrived to New York in 2001 to explore the land of the opportunity in his career and passion. Here, Artur wants to pursue a goal of a successful artist that can reach an audience by expressing his feelings and emotions through his Art. Artur graduated with BFA from Pace University in 2007. For me, when it comes to the process of painting, it involves looking at photographs as reference images. I am trying to capture the essence of individual, or object and paint it on canvas the way I interpret it. Often, it comes to me as dream like imagination. It is, if that person, or object is always alive and immortal in our consciousness. The colors, outlines, shades of an image turn into violins and drums of orchestra, where I am, as conductor, create my own symphony. Sometimes that symphony could be unfinished symphony, as it happens beyond my will. It’s part of creative process that completes itself in that state, and it’s beyond my control. Every time I take a brush in hand, the visions and ideas come suddenly from nowhere, and often, I do not know on what journey they will take me on every single time.
