"Tria Prima" Fine Art Print

I like to live by the notion 'see what happens next' I am an Oxford Born artist of Caribbean heritage raised in the Uk. Here is where I also work & find my inspiration. I am originally a self-taught painter & jewellery designer. I have worked in film and Video and have a distinction for camera work. Fibonacci, alchemy, optical illusions & the architectural structures of nature inspire my work. Sound, vibration, energy & frequency fascinate me. In 2012 I achieved second prize for an art and architecture Pavilion project 'The Seed Pavilion” Oxford Brookes University art/architecture department; collaboration with Capital Projects. In 2013 I exhibited at the Free Range graduate show in Brick Lane London. I was 1 of 10 artists chosen for an emerging artist award. I was head hunted by Rei Kawakubo owner of Comme des Garcons (CDG) This was a great achievement for me; to be awarded as an emerging graduate and my art recognised by such a prestigious designer. During 2014/15 I collaborated with Rei Kawakubu on her exclusive brand 'Home Deux collection' at Dover street market London. In 2014 my art works were featured on her exclusive Homme Deux S/S collection during the ICA at DSM Exhibition 1950-1968. In 2014 I was invited to make a portfolio for Noise Festival. Curators Denise Proctor and Tim Marlow credited 7 pieces of my work. In 2014 I continued my education at Oxford Brookes University. I did a MA in contemporary arts and music and graduated in 2015. I have been invited to exhibit my work Internationally with some of the worlds finest Graphic Designers from 2017 to present. In 2020 I have been invited by (GAA) Global Arts Agency to have my work featured in the Contemporary Art of Excellence Volume IV. This year Global Arts curators chose my artwork to be featured on the inner back cover of the (CAE) This has been another great achievement for me. I am waiting to 'see what happens next' So far it has been a wonderful and exciting journey. I see myself as a multifaceted artist; My work spans from printmaking, 3d sculpture, drawing, painting, textiles, metals, ceramics, architecture, new media, photography & graphic design.
