About The Artwork

About this painting : INFP ------------------------------------ 4th in the series : Unfinished Business ----------------------------------------------------- INFP is an abbreviation used in the publications of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to refer to one of sixteen personality types. I identify with this personality and this painting is dedicated to all the INFP out there (2% of the population). We are called Dreamers, we are called healers, and we are on a journey only we can understand. ----------------------------------------------- UNIQUE ABOUT THIS PAINTING ----------------------------------------------- This painting can be hung from any side. Each side depicts one dimension of our personality. Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling and Perceiving. Each side has a distinct color, all the faces which seem straight when hung from any side have the same color tone to hint at the bold aspects of our thoughts and the faces fade into each other just like our outer and inner world. -------------------------------------------- MORE ABOUT THE PAINTING To understand Healers, we must understand their idealism as almost boundless and selfless, inspiring them to make extraordinary sacrifices for someone or something they believe in. The Healer is the Prince or Princess of fairytale, the King's Champion or Defender of the Faith..." INFPs are highly intuitive about people. They rely heavily on their intuitions to guide them, and use their discoveries to constantly search for value in life. They are on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through the INFP's value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help the INFP define or refine their own path in life. ----------------------------- THE UNFINISHED BUSINESS SERIES The Unfinished Business series of paintings started back in India in 2014. The philosophy behind these paintings is to depict the enormously complex web of emotions we human beings weave every day.     Every set of eyes and lips in the painting depicts an emotion; a mood. Each pair of faces has a story woven between them, multiply it with all the faces on the canvas and one has endless stories emerging from it. The stories of love, loss, sadness, hope, excitement, restlessness, envy, judgment, pride, ego, care, anger, fear, surprise, contempt and so much more, the meaning of the stories depend on the depth of one's perception of complex human emotions.     The way the faces fade into one another portrays how emotions do as well. Changing from one form to another, one person to another, one moment to another. It is a depiction of the transitory nature of life and a fleeting glimpse of how complicated we make it ourselves.     The sets of eyes and lips in the painting are mostly inspired by everyday people I see around me, during transits. Little do they know, we are all travelers and life in itself is a transit, it always comes back to the beginning at the end, and hence no matter what we do, no matter how strategically we lay out our cards, our lives will always remain an "unfinished business". Ready to hang. Can be framed if wished, but framing is not needed to hang it *******Can be hung from any of the four sides*****

An Artist, Writer, Introvert Coach, Percussion Player Engineer, MBA... Searching for the meaning of life through patterns. My art tries to explore the interaction of consciousness with itself. I believe there is a consciousness in thoughts, in time, in emotions, and in everything that we see and perceive around us. We define what is conscious and what is not just based on our capacity to perceive it, but just not being able to perceive something doesn't make it cease to exist! "Through my art, I explore the unknown" Just like a new soul which enters this realm is full of possibilities, a blank canvas is just as blank as one's imagination!
