ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The lovely late afternoon light hitting the tomb and the rich red sandstone façade of the majestic Chet Singh Fort situated on the Chet Singh Ghat in Varanasi inspired me to paint this scene. I chose a vertical composition to highlight the beautiful structure of the fort. This is an original watercolor that is painted on a 270 gsm Rough grain Indian handmade paper using artist-grade watercolor paints. Signed and accompanied by a Certificate of authenticity. The colors of the actual painting may slightly vary due to photographic lighting sources or individual monitor settings.
