Painting is a creation that jumps off the canvas and always surprises me. The colours confront each other, creating harmonies I never knew existed. I spent my working career in Hi tech, where I have achieved a senior managerial level, quite a few satisfactions mingled with continuous stress and a hungry soul. There were some sporadic indulgences into creative work (painting classes at the Tel Aviv museum, a ceramic studio and others). But it was Only when I left the Hi Tech industry that I finally found the painter inside me. Yet painting doesn't feel like a new beginning, more like a return to a station that I passed many times with craving eyes. The train has never stopped there before. Painting is a map that helps me trace new trails in the scenery of my soul. I paint because I want to meet again those emotions I left behind when the train galloped away. Painting allows me to phrase old questions in a new language, a language whose words I seem to know better than any that I ever used. I don't paint the world around me, but rather the universe that emerges in me. Every draw of the brush is a lantern that lights a dark corner. Painting for me is not the search, it is the happening.
