Proud to be an artist and animal rescuer ♥️ Please check out my Etsy store houraoilpaintings An american contemporary artist born in 1986. Lives and works in Atlanta Georgia. She is best knowing for her realism style still life and tonal landscape paintings that focuses mainly on light and shadow. She grew up in the city of Stone Mountain, in a ranch house with a big garden that was made by her father, along with dogs, cats and birds. Houra is a predominantly a self taught painter. Only a brief 7 years after her birth, she picked up a paintbrush and mixed her colors to complete her first painting of her two beloved dogs. After years of practicing her talent and researching the world of art she found herself inspired by several great artists like David Leffel, Gregg Kreutz, Richard Schmid and Gary Jenkins who was impressed by her work and encouraged her to keep painting. To fullfil her love for art and animals, in 2009 she started selling her oil paintings online to become a rescuer for abandoned and injured local animals to provide them with the love and care they deserve. Luckily her art was sold around the world, including Canada, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, Japan and Russia. Houra obtained her B.S. in Accounting in 2008 and B.S. in Interior Design in 2012, while she remained active in her art business and her care for the little paws. She couldn't find herself fit in any career other than being an oil painter and a rescuer for the innocent souls.
