About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by a photograph of a Vietnamese woman wearing a Ao Dai, the traditional dress. Although in the photograph the woman was standing up straight, I loved the movement of her dress and pictured her falling horizontally through an abyss. Bleeding tissue paper was used to complicate the background.
