About The Artwork

This one is from a set of mythological watercolours produced in succession during a period when I was going back and forth between watercolour and acrylic. I combine methods from both approaches with very beautiful results. I am very fond of the mythical element. The inspiration comes from the unconscious, as well as reading books/stories, and from personal experience. I do paint intuitively, which can lead to some very interesting results. In this case I begin with a drawing in pencil filled by the watercolour paint. It was one of those works I really let myself go deep into the creative act. I offer space for your imagination and wonder, allowing the viewer to join in on the visceral experience.
