I studied painting at Manchester Polytechnic, then computer art at the Slade School of Fine Art in the late 1970s. The computer work was programmed at first but then evolved into a couple of strands of practice. Today the painting and the computer work interact sometimes. Some influences on my work include craft aesthetics and East Asian culture and arts. Styles range from Modernist to Postmodern often dependent on subject matter and technique used.
