YOU AIN’T GONNA MAKE MY MIND – textured painting, lots of paint, with glossy details and interesting technique: a woman's body and fish covered with a special material look as if glued on the top of the painting, stand out from the background, yet the painting looks different in the sun and evening lighting. So exciting painting that will fill You with energy and inspire to reach your dreams and goals every day. A more abstract take on figurative art combined with the kaleidoscopic background. This painting explores recognizable representations of reality, yet reduced to merely an inclusions embedded in the tapestry of abstract lines and silhouettes. This particular composition depends greatly on personal interpretation. The only clues to get the main theme of the painting are reduced to several pictorial inclusions (fishes in the water) and abstract silhouette of a female figure, which serves as and indexical symbol. The first feature, which attracts the sight of spectator are the ‘X lines”, marking crossed daggers or a state of self-preservation then facing the world. We see glimpses of a profile, meaning the figurine is ready to face the world and its uncertainty. She is protective of herself, yet gazing at the freedom of fishes, which are not “out of the water”, but are floating freely in the perceived chaos, represented by energetic directionless strokes and multiple colors. In such way images of visual reality are deconstructed and abstracted to the very minimum. It is enough to mention the main theme, and all the relevant details are filled with the imagination of the observer.
