Núria Romeu is a Barcelona-based artist. For years she has been dedicated to her personal research process, working, experimenting, and learning, trying to perfect the technique of Chinese ink on paper. She is passionate about the mountains and has a deep respect and admiration for the beauty and purity of nature. Her work focuses mostly on the representation of nature, trying to capture its indescribable beauty and its poetic fragility. She often paints the snow, because she likes the feeling of unspoiled nature, of stillness, of a brand-new scenery. She feels a great fascination for the volumes that the snow forms, and for the way it hides the footprint of humans and reveals traces of other living beings.
